A New Start

Right. This is me explaining myself and what I'm actually doing; it may have taken 7 months to figure out how to explain, but now is better than never.

I started university in September of 2017, and for the time I was there I really enjoyed it. I met some fantastic people (Long Slim Jimmy is my No.1), joined 3 choirs, drank like a sailor on more than one occasion and successfully got up for 9 o'clock lectures. I believe I got the full uni experience in the 6 months I was there. However, as I came to the end of those 6 months, I realised I disliked the course I was on, it was not the one for me, and neither was the classroom situation, I needed to be on the go. Around mid January I had 2 weeks of reading weeks, I went through a depressive period, and I hated it; I had this routine of staying up as late as I could (or as early if you will) so when I went to sleep I woke up later in the day, so once I had showered and eaten it was time to get ready to go out again. I only noticed this hole I was in once I had spent 3 days in bed, literally not doing anything. At this point I decided it was time to get out, as Leni says "if you don't like it, change it". So I did. I told my parents I wanted to leave university and, within a week, I had left Nottingham and returned to York.

I had about 2 weeks of rest, getting my affairs in order, and then I searched for a job. I started working at Holy Molys, on the A64. Along side this job I have done a few modelling jobs, and 3 weeks work experience with television production companies in London (Love Productions and SpunGold TV) which I found extremely interesting; whilst in London I didn't waste the opportunity to see some shows.

I then started getting television extra'ing work and so decided it was best to leave Holy Molys and see where I got with television, both behind and in front of the camera. After a few weeks of applying for work and doing more extra'ing I decided I still wasn't sure if this was the career for me.

And so, we come to now, where I am still looking for a job in York, just to get me the money I need to help me explore more of life's possibilities. I have just been cast as a lead dancer in Rowntree Players Pantomime, I am an ambassador for York Fashion Week 2019, I have a few modelling gigs lined up, my partner has just got off his cruise so am making the most of the time I have with him, and I am allowing myself the time to think and discover.

I started this blog for my university course and have decided to carry it on.

Read the blog posts if you like, I'll try really hard to make them interesting and not write about myself too much.

Thank you for your time.

Ta Ta for now, my Lovelies.

Miss Blue.
